How I used Hey Mama! Print Schoolhouse Planner 2016-2017

I have had a couple weeks with this encouraging homeschool planner, just in time for planning our 2016/17 year.

The first thing I decided to do was use add tabs and then use the yearly calendar to make notes of the public school PD days and holidays, because this affects our school days as well.  (It's hard to concentrate when the doorbell goes off all day).

Next I got to work plugging in any known significant dates into the monthly calendar section.

Now, as we all know, no planner is a 100% perfect fit; but, hey mama, don't let that stop you from adjusting things and making the planner your own!   The Curriculum Planning Sheet is actually a really handy section on it's own.  Unfortuanletly, I had already done some planning before receiving the Hey Mama Schoolhouse Planner, and didn't want to copy my notes over just for the sake of using it.  So I took a little piece of post-it note and changed it into my Curriculum Resource Sheet.  I am putting down all the great ebooks and PDFs I know I'll forget about that are on my computer.  I used the "contact" line to put the folder location in my documents.

I think this a very lovely and unique planner that can bless a mama with daily encouraged to keep her going strong all year long.

I'll leave you with additional photos examples of what's inside:
